▲ BD CLINICAL ADVANTAGE:
Sodium citrate concentrations can have significant effects on APTT and PT assays especially with patients receiving IV heparin therapy and when responsive reagents are used. For this reason it is very important that laboratories determine their normal range of APTT and PT based on one citrate concentration and consistently use this concentration for all patient samples. BD offers only the 3.2% citrate concentration, as recommended by NCCLS
